Classic Biking (04 Days Biking) Itinerary 08 Days & 07 Nights

D01: Q.AIA Airport – Amman (No Cycling)

 Meet and assist at Queen Alia International Airport with all airport procedures and formalities via Customs & Emigration, Drive to Amman Hotel for overnight.

D02: Amman – Jerash – Ajloun – Amman (35 km Cycling)

 After Breakfast, we start early by 07:00am, drive by bus to Jerash, Jerash the Pompeii of the East You will enter Jerash through the monumental South Gate and find you wandering around in a Roman city. You will walk in the Oval Plaza surrounded by colonnades, visit the Roman theatre and Byzantine churches with mosaic-covered floors. Enjoy a stroll along Jerash’ main road the Cardo and pass by the Nymphaeum. You may experience the marvelous acoustics of the theatre, the stage of the Jerash music festival which takes place every year. And see for yourself how the Romans built the earthquake-proof columns of the colonnaded streets. After a visit to Jerash for around 2 hours, we head to our cycling location by bus, Cycling team introduction and bike distribution. A detailed briefing will be done by the cycling guide before the ride then we set off on our way, the ride will be supported by a bike mechanic and an assistant car also the buss will be with us all the way in case anyone wants to rest then approximately 3 and a half hours through Ajloun Sakeb till we reach Shouneh. A green area in orange filled with ancient trees that reach 400 years old. Riding through small villages and quite roads, the roads are in good roads and much of the time you will be condition mostly descending, however we will face some ascent on our way. Short rest for snacks and drinks in between. We transfer by bus back to Amman. Cycling approximately 35km Difficulty: easy mostly descent

D03: Amman – Madaba – Mt. Nebo – Petra (50 km Cycling)

 After Breakfast, drive to Madaba for short visit, Madaba is located 30 kilometers south-west of
the capital Amman. It is best known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, especially a large
Byzantine-era mosaic map of The Holy Land. Madaba, one of the most spectacular churches
around the world; ST. George church where you will find the Mosaic Map of Jerusalem painted on the floor of the church. Then we transfer by Bus to visit of Mt. Nebo, Mt. Nebo the place where Moses buried. You will be lucky if the sky is clear enough, you will have wonderful view up from the mountain seeing the Jordan valley, the Dead Sea, and Jericho in the other bank of the Jordan River.

After the visit to mount Nebo we head to our cycling start location by buss for a small transfer,
then we start cycling from a small village through the back route of dead sea (Panorama route) the first 5km are fairly flat route then we start descending to the lowest point in earth the full descent amazing and second to no on the bike after that we reach Wadi Araba high way for a 10km along the dead sea ride till we reach our destination beach.
Cycling approximately 50km
Difficulty: moderate mostly descent but we face a number of climbs on the way.
Short rest for snacks and drinks in between.
We continue after that by bus to Petra.
Overnight in Petra.

D04: Petra (No Cycling)

 After Breakfast, full day visit of Petra.
There is no visit of Jordan will be complete without having seen the capital of the ancient Nabatean kingdom, Petra. The long-lost city of Petra, carved entirely by man into the rose-red sandstone rocks, puts your imagination to the test. Its aMystic and glorious place, an eternal tribute to a lost civilization. Petra was the central meeting point of the Nabatean spice routes which originated from the Persian Gulf, Western Arabia and the Red Sea. About two thousand years ago Petra became the capital of the Nabatean Empire. The city was so renowned that one of its kings, Aretas IV, is even mentioned in the Bible. The natural richness of the mountainous area combines in a superb way with the refined culture and massive architecture of the Nabateans, who carved their theatre, temples, façades, tombs, monasteries, houses roads entirely the rose- red sandstone rocks. No wonder UNESCO placed Petra on its World Heritage List one enters Petra by passing the Siq, a deep and narrow gorge, at the end of which all of a sudden dramatically appears the most famous monument in Petra: al-Khazneh or the Treasury. Maybe you will recognize it as the stage of the final sequence of the movie ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’. But the Treasury is just the start. Walking and climbing in Petra hundreds of buildings carved in stone and eroded through the centuries into fabulous multi-colored walls will be revealed to you. Overnight in Petra

D05: Cycling fro Petra to Wadi Araba - Aqaba (70 km Cycling)

After Breakfast, today we start cycling directly from our hotel heading to little Petra for about 15km this first section is a hilly course that goes up and down till we reach little Petra, we will have small stop at little Petra and then continue our way to Wadi Araba road through the magnificent Namaleh Road, the distance from here to our finish stop is about 55km first 7km is a again an up and down road then we start the magnificent decent to Wadi Araba high way, the view on the this downhill is second to none you get to see this Wadi Araba from above with majestic view over the whole valley this road is really of the beaten track and classical tourists don’t get the chance to see it, an amazing day of cycling will be over when we reach the high way then we transfer by buss to Aqaba. For 120km.
Distance:70km
Difficulty: moderate mostly descent but we face a number of climbs on the way.
Short rest for snacks and drinks in between.
Overnight in Aqaba.

D06: Aqaba – Wadi Rum (35 km Cycling)

 After Breakfast, 1 hour buss transfer from Aqaba to Wadi Rum, Wadi Rum, Uniquely shaped massive mountains rise vertically out of the pink desert sand, which separate one dark mass from another in magnificent desert scenery of strange breathtaking beauty, with towering cliffs of weathered stone. The faces of the sheer rock cliffs have been eroded by the wind into faces of men, animals and monsters. Wadi Rum, the valley of the moon according to Lawrence of Arabia; here you will have the opportunity to experience of the Jeep tour 4×4 for 2 hours to explore the most spectacular sites of the area ending with a cup of tea made by Bedouins as a refreshing after your visit.
Junction we start our journey to enter Wadi Rum by bike, this is the best way see Wadi Rum and feel its majesty as on the bike you will be connected to the nature the wind, the feel and smell, it’s a flat tarmac road in the middle of the desert. The views are different than what you saw in previous days and the area is filled with history of the Arab Revolution, this is the area were Arabs launched their attack on Aqaba in world war one, in the end of our journey we enter an area in Wadi Rum called the mudflat, you will be riding on desert that are hard enough to be road and the vast horizon will make you lose sense of sizes and distance in this area you see a mountain you think it’s close and small but when you cycle to it and reach you realize that its much further than you thought, this is where we end our cycling say good bye to the cycling team.
Short rest for snacks and drinks and Bedouin tea.
Distance:35km
Difficulty: easy mostly flat.
Transfer after that to Bedouin Camp for Dinner and overnight.

D07: Wadi Rum – Kerak - Amman (No Cycling)

 After Breakfast, we start 4×4 ride inside the desert, continue by our bus to Amman, visit en route Kerak, Visit Kerak which was the capital of the biblical kingdom of Moab. Perched atop a steep hill, Kerak is a predominantly Christian town dominated by the largest and best preserved of the Crusader castles in the region. Kerak Castle is a typical example of Crusader architecture, with Romanesque-style stone vaults, numerous corridors, and strong doorways, overnight in Amman.

D08: Departure Through Q.AI Airport (No Cycling)

 After breakfast, transfer to Q.AI Airport with our full assistant with all airport procedures and formalities via Customs & Emigration. End of Services
