Qasr al Azraq

Qasr al Azraq is a historic fortress located in the eastern region of Jordan. It is one of the most significant historical landmarks in the country, and it is known for its strategic location and the important role it played in the region’s history.

The walls are up to 3 meters thick in some places, and they are lined with arrow slits for defensive purposes. The courtyard contains a well that was the primary source of water for the fortress, as well as several rooms that were used for different purposes, such as storage, sleeping quarters, and stables.

The fortress is a fine example of Ayyubid military architecture, and it has been well-preserved over the centuries.
