Next, we cannot miss Mount Nebo, which is interesting for its historical significance. From its summit, you can see the Holy Land, the Jordan River valley, and even, on clear days, the city of Jerusalem. We continue our adventure to Little Petra, which was built by the Nabataeans with the intention of being a transit place for traders and merchants coming from Asia. We get a taste of the rose-red city and then head to Petra. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 4: FULL DAY IN PETRA – WADI RUM

Thursday, Saturday, Monday

breakfast at the hotel. no visit to jordan would be complete without seeing the capital of the ancient nabataean kingdom, petra, a unesco world heritage site, a mystical and glorious place, an eternal tribute to a lost civilization. petra was the central meeting point of the nabataean spice routes that originated in the persian gulf, western arabia, and the red sea. the city was so famous that one of its kings, aretas iv, is even mentioned in the bible. the natural wealth of the mountainous area combines magnificently with the refined culture and massive architecture of the nabataeans, who carved their theaters, temples, facades, tombs, monasteries, houses, and roads entirely into pink sandstone. petra is accessed through the siq, a deep and narrow gorge, at the end of which suddenly appears spectacularly the most famous monument of petra: al-khazneh or the treasury. but the treasury is just the beginning. walking and climbing in petra will reveal hundreds of stone-carved buildings, eroded over the centuries into fabulous multicolored walls. after finishing the visit, we continue our journey to the wadi rum desert where a traditional dinner and a night surrounded by stars await us.
