Petra

  • Petra, located in Jordan, is one of the oldest human settlements in history, dating back to the Neolithic period between 7200 and 6500 BC. It was among the earliest permanent communities, with farmers inhabiting the area between 8300 and 7000 BC. Over time, Petra was home to several civilizations, most notably the Nabataeans, Edomites, and later the Romans.
  • The Petra Museum is a key attraction for visitors. Located just a short walk from the main entrance, it features 280 archaeological artifacts displayed across five exhibition halls, offering valuable insight into Petra’s history and the life and culture of the Nabataeans.
