Welcome to our comprehensive Holy Land Travel Guide, your ultimate resource for discovering the rich spiritual traditions and captivating sacred heritage of the Holy Land (Israel and Palestine).

With Flow Travel & Tourism, your trusted tour guide in the Holy Land, you’ll delve deeper into the abundant historical sites, mesmerizing biblical wonders, and breathtaking natural landscapes that make the Holy Land a must-visit destination for every spiritual traveler and history enthusiast.

The Holy Land is revered by Judaism, Christianity, and Islam as the cradle of monotheistic faiths. Key sites include Jerusalem’s Old City (shared holy places like the Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Al-Aqsa Mosque), Bethlehem (birthplace of Jesus), and Nazareth (where Jesus grew up).

The region has a complex modern history, with Israel established in 1948 and ongoing shared significance for multiple faiths.

Spend some time exploring vibrant markets and souks in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Bethlehem, offering unique handicrafts, religious artifacts, spices, and jewelry. These are treasure troves for meaningful souvenirs.

In the region, bargaining is common in traditional markets, while fixed prices apply in modern shops. Tipping 10-15% in restaurants is appreciated.

  • October – March: Eastern European Time (GMT + 2)

How to Get a Visa to the Holy Land

Flow Travel & Tourism offers seamless Holy Land visa assistance, ensuring hassle-free entry for your pilgrimage or journey. Trust us for expert guidance and swift processing for your visa to the Holy Land (Israel and Palestinian Territories).

Most tourists from visa-exempt countries (including the US, EU, UK, Canada, and many others) do not need a traditional visa for stays up to 90 days. However, starting January 1, 2025, an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA-IL) is mandatory for entry into Israel.

Apply online in advance via the official portal (israel-entry.piba.gov.il) for a fee of approximately 25 ILS. Approval is usually quick and valid for multiple entries over 2 years.

Entry into the West Bank (Palestinian Territories) is controlled by Israel, so the same ETA-IL or visa-free entry applies when arriving via Israeli ports/borders. Separate Palestinian Authority visas are not typically required for tourists entering through Israel.

Arriving by Air

  • Ben Gurion Airport (TLV) is the primary entry point for most international flights, offering modern facilities and direct connections to sacred destinations like Jerusalem (about 45-60 minutes by taxi or shuttle).

Secondary international airport near Eilat, useful for southern routes.
