A day at leisure to settle in, explore at your own pace or rest after your journey.

In the evening, we transfer you to the Pyramids area for Shakira Live at the Pyramids, an extraordinary night of music beneath one of the most iconic skylines on earth. After the show, we take you back to your hotel, full of stories to tell.

DAY 3  · Saturday, 3 April | Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM)

Today you step straight into the pages of history. Stand at the foot of the Great Pyramids of Giza, the last surviving wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and come face to face with the enigmatic Great Sphinx, which has guarded the plateau for around 4,500 years.

Then continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), the world’s largest archaeological museum dedicated to a single civilization, where thousands of treasures, including the legendary collection of Tutankhamun, bring ancient Egypt vividly to life.

DAY 4  ·  Sunday, 4 April   |   Cairo City Tour · Flight to Aswan

Journey through the many layers of Cairo in a single day. Begin in Coptic Cairo, a peaceful quarter of ancient churches and narrow lanes where the city’s Christian heritage lives on.

Climb to the Citadel of Saladin, the commanding 12th-century fortress that rewards you with sweeping views across Cairo’s skyline. Finish at Khan El-Khalili, the legendary bazaar, a maze of lantern-lit alleys filled with spices, silver, perfumes and handicrafts, perfect for souvenirs and a glass of sweet mint tea.

In the afternoon, fly to Aswan, where a night at your Aswan hotel prepares you for tomorrow’s journey to Abu Simbel.

DAY 5  ·  Monday, 5 April   |   Abu Simbel & Philae Temple · Embark Cruise

Start the day with the Abu Simbel excursion: two colossal temples carved into the mountainside by Ramses II, guarded by four seated statues of the pharaoh around 20 metres high, and famously relocated in the 1960s to save them from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.

Then visit Philae Temple, the graceful sanctuary of the goddess Isis, rebuilt stone by stone on its own island. Finally, embark your Nile cruise and enjoy your first evening afloat.

 DAY 6  ·  Tuesday, 6 April   |   Kom Ombo & Edfu Temples

Cruise north along the Nile and visit Kom Ombo Temple, a rare double temple shared by Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon-headed god, perched right on the riverbank.

Continue to Edfu Temple, one of the best-preserved temples in all of Egypt, dedicated to Horus. Between visits, relax on deck and watch village life, palm groves and desert cliffs drift by.

DAY 7  ·  Wednesday, 7 April   |   Luxor East Bank · Karnak & Luxor Temples

Arrive in Luxor, often called the world’s greatest open-air museum. Explore Karnak, the largest ancient religious complex ever built, where the Great Hypostyle Hall rises as a forest of 134 colossal columns carved from top to bottom.

Then visit Luxor Temple, with its towering statues of Ramses II and its graceful colonnades, a spectacular sight in the warm light of the day.

DAY 8  ·  Thursday, 8 April   |   Luxor West Bank · Valley of the Kings & Hatshepsut Temple · Transfer to Hurghada

Cross to Luxor’s West Bank, the ancient necropolis of Thebes. Descend into the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom were laid to rest in tombs covered with vivid paintings and hieroglyphs.

Admire the Temple of Hatshepsut, the great female pharaoh, whose terraced colonnades rise dramatically against the sheer cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, and enjoy a photo stop at the towering Colossi of Memnon.

After the visit, disembark and set off by land to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast.
